The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana.Join the Louisiana Department of Health's Office of Management and Finance and play a key role in managing complex financial operations that support one of the state's largest agencies. This position offers the opportunity to lead grant and financial reporting activities, oversee cost allocation and accounting processes, and help ensure the responsible stewardship of more than $19 billion in public funds while supporting programs that improve the health of Louisiana's communities.QualificationsSix years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; ORSix years of full‑time experience in any field plus twenty‑four semester hours in accounting plus three years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; ORA bachelor's degree with twenty‑four semester hours in accounting plus three years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; ORA bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics plus three years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; ORAn advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics plus two years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; ORPossession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license plus one year of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking.Experience substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full‑time work experience in any field.
