Who we are and what we do:

The Department regulates banks, credit unions, trust companies, business and industrial development corporations, industrial loan and thrift companies, insurance premium finance companies, mortgage lenders, brokers, servicers and originators, title pledge lenders, check cashers, deferred presentment services companies, money transmitters and flexible credit act lenders. The unit manages and oversees the departments and each divisions budget, MOUs with Shared-Services, Risk Management, and Data Security.

How you make a difference in this role:

The FI Assistant Chief Fiscal Administrator will function as the primary manager over accounting activities and operations and assist with budget activities. They will help oversee and/or perform all accounting, procurement, inventory activities, risk assessment and special project activities. They will continually monitor and evaluate the departments IT and data security needs, in coordination with our STS partners. This position may have an emphasis in payroll, IT operations and security and data analytics. The ideal candidate will possess a Masters Accounting with emphasis in IT. They will have 8 or more years of state experience in accounting with an emphasis of IT operations and Data / Cyber Security. Program/regulatory area experience is a plus. Masters degree preferred and/or additional certification. Additionally, we will be looking for experience in budget, accounting and data analytics, security, and managing a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Education & Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and eight (8) or more years of full-time increasingly responsible experience in accounting with emphasis in IT operations and data / cybersecurity. Program/regulatory area experience is a plus. Masters degree preferred and/or additional certification.
