In this role we are seeking a motivated accounting professional who would help us enter our day-to-day accounting transactions and help us complete our monthly close process with a high level of accuracy. You should be proactive and willing to grow with our team. You will use your GAAP knowledge to record transactions and use their logic and reasoning to analyze the data to ensure accuracy. Adaptability to new processes and systems would come in handy along with expertise with Microsoft excel and Unanet or Cost Point.ResponsibilitiesCash receipts, collections review, and analysisRecording financial transactions of the company via journal entries on a day-to-day basisAssist with month-end closeAssist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and PayrollReview of financialsBalance Sheet reconciliation/Bank reconciliationBank and Credit Card ReconciliationsReview Expense Report SubmissionsNew Hire setup in UnanetQualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance3 to 5 Years of Experience in Corporate Accounting department desired if the experience is in a federal government contracting organizationStrong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesAttention to Detail for transaction entryProficient in Microsoft excel skills and reconciliationsStrong Analytical skillsTeam player with an affinity to learn and pick up new skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate effectively with themAdaptability to changing technologies and requirementsCommitment to continuous improvement and professional developmentWorking ConditionsStandard Business hours are Monday through Friday.
