Location: Bastrop, LA
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8 AM-5 PM

This Accountant role in Bastrop is for someone who understands the full picture, not just A/R and A/P. You track the details, close things out, and keep the numbers accurate.
What's Required
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- 1-2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a CPA firm.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and basic financial principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, and journals.
- Assist in posting transactions to appropriate accounts in accounting software.
- Reconcile bank statements and client accounts accurately.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing during tax season.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information.
- Support senior accountants and CPAs with audits and financial reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data.
