Location: Bethel, CT (hybrid) 
Compensation: Up to $90k DOE

We are partnering with a growing financial services organization to identify an Accountant for a newly available opportunity within its corporate accounting team. This role reports directly to the leadership team who is committed to developing talent. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and is looking to build a long-term career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations across a variety of balance sheet accounts
* Support month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
* Perform analytical reviews and prepare supporting schedules and documentation
* Assist with cash management and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies
* Support intercompany accounting, accruals, debt, interest expense, tax, and other general accounting functions
* Partner with the accounting team on special projects and ad hoc initiatives

Ideal Background

* 1–3 years of accounting experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Public accounting (Audit or Assurance) experience is highly welcomed
* Strong understanding of US GAAP
* Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, and complex formulas
* CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred but not required
