    As an Accountant at RXO, you’ll use your knowledge and experience to perform and coordinate accounting responsibilities within our organization.     What your day-to-day will look like:

    • Ensure accurate, complete and timely compilation and recording of accounting information, analysis and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures  
    • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting closes for functional areas of responsibility, including related SOX compliance and the external financial statement audit
    • Accurately maintain general ledger accounts and respective reconciliations, including researching, understanding and interpreting accounts and underlying activity, trends and variances across a broad scope of accounting functional areas (AR/AP, allocations, prepaids, accruals, subledgers details, and intercompany)
    • Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with company policies 
    • Support the preparation and distribution of monthly accounting, financial and management reporting as well as ad hoc analyses

    What you’ll need to excel:

    At a minimum, you’ll need:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience  
    • 1-2 years of accounting or financial reporting experience
    • Experience in Microsoft Excel

    It’d be great if you also have:

    • CPA certification (or in progress) or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or business 
    • Public accounting experience
    • Experience with related systems such as Oracle, HFM, LeaseAccelerator, and Blackline
    • Intermediate Excel skills (comfortable analyzing data using various functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables)
