LHH is assisting a well-established organization in the Columbus, OH area is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join its growing team. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative accounting department while expanding your skills in both accounting and payroll experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial records
- Assist with payroll processing, payroll audits, and payroll-related reporting
- Reconcile payroll data to accounting records and investigate discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting and payroll-related issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- At least 2 years of accounting experience
- Previous payroll processing or payroll support experience required
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups
- Experience working within an ERP or accounting software system
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Pay Details: $28.00 to $33.00 per hour
