Summary Maintains the records for Network companies. Prepares related financial statements, tax returns, budgets, and abandoned property forms when assigned. Assists with maintaining the fixed assets, including processing purchase requisitions, disposals, transfers, and maintaining renovation projects. Assists in closing and reconciling subsystems to the General Ledger when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision of Accounting Manager, analyzes, compiles, and arranges data into computerized systems to generate financial data for management, prepares financial statements, and other reports as needed by management.
  • Prepares daily cash reports as assigned.
  • Prepares budgets and tax returns as assigned.
  • Performs monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and analyzes income statement accounts to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data. In addition, correct all reconciling items on a timely basis.
  • Maintains abandoned property records in addition to filing all necessary forms with the proper state authorities as needed.
  • Assists in maintaining the Asset Management System, including but not limited to processing purchase requisitions, processing disposals and transfers, and assisting the Accounting Manager in reconciling asset management systems.
  • Assists in closing and reconciling subsystems to the General Ledger when needed.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 1 year experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team building & staff development skills
  • Experience with financial systems, Office suite, Excel, Word, PPT, Access
  • Minimum Experience: one year
  • Desired: Masters Degree in Business or Finance, CPA, Big 4 Accounting experience, Hospital/Healthcare or Not-for-Profit experience, Infor ERP experience

Other Information

  • Required: Competent in MS Excel & MS Word
  • Competent in accounting functions
  • Minimum Experience: three years
  • Desired: Experience in Lawson and Asset Management Systems
