Our direct client is seeking an Accountant to support their Finance and Administration Controller Office. The Accountant will perform professional accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, transaction research, financial reporting, record maintenance, and audit support. The ideal candidate will have 3 4 years of full-time Accountant experience, strong Excel skills, and preferably experience with Oracle. This role requires someone who can manage a high-volume workload, identify discrepancies, research issues, and independently resolve or recommend solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, cost transfers, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.
Research transactions, identify discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues.
Reconcile subsidiary systems to the general ledger and analyze variances.
Gather, validate, and maintain accounting data and supporting documentation.
Prepare month-end journals, financial schedules, reports, and workpapers.
Process accounts receivable transactions, invoices, receipts, and payment requests.
Maintain subsidiary ledgers and supporting records, including operating equipment and trust accounts.
Track payments and provide status updates to internal stakeholders.
Support financial reporting and internal/external audits.
Coordinate with other departments and external parties to resolve accounting and transaction-processing issues.
Respond to accounting-related inquiries and provide clear, accurate information.
Required Qualifications
3 4 years of full-time Accountant experience REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration with an accounting emphasis, or related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Expert-level Excel skills
Oracle experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial transactions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to work accurately in a high-volume environment.
