About the Opportunity Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Senior Accountant, Contributed Revenue for a leading nonprofit organization. This role is responsible for overseeing contributed revenue accounting, grant accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation activities while ensuring compliance with donor, regulatory, and organizational requirements. What You'll Do:
- Administer and maintain the Raiser’s Edge contributed revenue system, including account coding, reconciliations, and General Ledger postings.
- Prepare, process, and distribute monthly grant billings while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with grant requirements.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare audit schedules, and support annual audit activities.
- Track and reconcile endowment funds, restricted funds, annuities, and investment-related accounts.
- Assist with Form 990 preparation, association-level reporting, and grant-related audits, monitoring visits, and compliance reviews.
What You Need to Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; equivalent accounting experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least four (4) years of professional accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. #metrocareers
