Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of multiple entities. Reporting to the Controller, this individual will play a key role in ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and supporting various aspects of the accounting cycle. This role offers a great opportunity to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger accounts ensuring accurate cost and account coding
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and investments in subsidiaries
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Post deposits and other cash transactions accurately and timely
- Track and report job costs across multiple projects, including purchase orders and change orders
- Assist in monitoring and updating project budgets and forecasts
- Prepare month-end journal entries including payroll, interest, expense, and revenue accruals
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and process monthly depreciation entries
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reports
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to internal controls and company policies
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in accounting and financial principles
- Commercial Real Estate experience preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong general computer skills
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
