Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking an Accountant to join their growing finance team. Key Responsibilities



  • Provide month-end close support and assist with related accounting activities.

  • Manage accounts payable processes related to grant funding.

  • Prepare journal entries for funders and subrecipients.

  • Prepare and maintain reconciliations and tracking schedules for advanced funds.

  • Monitor and manage federal and non-federal funding sources with varying levels of restrictions.

  • Support grant accounting and compliance requirements.

  • Assist with financial reporting and other accounting projects as needed.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with post-award grant accounting.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Self-starter with strong initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a nonprofit finance environment.
