Shift : M-F 8 AM -5PM and first weekend of month potentially.
What level of experience, certifications, and specific skills are required?
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
2. Knowledgeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Accruals/General Ledger)
3. Experience in Healthcare finance preferred.
4. Comfort with fast pace during month-end close and meeting deadlines
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing many of the day-to-day activities of the Accounting Department. This includes but is not limited to the following: Assisting with general ledger activities, Performing month-end closing activities; Preparing month-end account reconciliation's; Assisting with all other daily activities of the Accounting Department and performing special projects as directed by the CFO, Controller, and Assistant Controller.
The Senior Accountant must also work to fulfill the mission, vision and values of the hospital.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: College Degree in Accounting or related specialty.
Experience: Must be knowledgeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the use of personal computers.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist(s). Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the Performance Management Plan.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Department business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Flexibility is required as some weekend/overtime hours will be required depending on special projects and month-end close schedule. Exempt position.
