Our client, a mid-sized, stable and well-established corporation, is hiring for an Accountant. You will work on a fast-paced accounting team and be involved in their month end as well as day-to-day accounting, cash management, etc. This is a permanent position that will provide someone early in their career with a broad range of accounting experience. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of $70,000 to $80,000 plus bonus, 401k match and a full benefits package.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Month end, year-end accounting close responsibilities
• Bank reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
• Assisting with the financial statement preparation for the company
• Assist with process improvement initiatives
• Serve as a resource for the external audit firm

Your qualifications should include:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance along with two or more years of experience
• Experience with month end close duties; reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
• Strong Excel skills are necessary for success in this position
• Must be a mature, motivated individual that can take direction and get up to speed quickly
• Prior experience with a G/L system is highly preferred
