POSITION SUMMARY

Under minimal direction, performs administrative and complex accounting tasks related to product costing, service accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Supports SAP ERP implementation by partnering with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and other functional areas to review business processes, identify accounting impacts and appropriate financial controls, and make recommendations to ensure transactions are properly configured and supported during SAP implementation and ongoing operations. • Identifies accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies through process standardization and automation. (Essential)
• Cross training in all Accounting Department functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, Inventory Accounting, Cash Management, Financial Reporting, and other assigned accounting responsibilities to provide departmental support and business continuity. (Essential)
• Develops and executes test scripts for accounting-related business processes, validates system functionality, documents testing results, and works with project teams to resolve identified issues. (Essential)
• Participate in the design, testing, and validation of month-end and year-end close processes to ensure SAP supports timely and accurate financial reporting. (Essential)
• Investigates accounting-related system issues identified during implementation and post-go-live activities, determines root causes, and collaborates with project teams to implement corrective actions. (Essential)
• Assists in developing training materials and provides training and support to Accounting and cross-functional users on SAP financial processes and best practices. (Essential)
• Validates financial reports, management reports, and system-generated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with financial reporting requirements. (Essential)
• Supports the monthly accounting close process by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and other assigned close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. (Essential)
• Provides backup support across all accounting functions as business needs require. (Essential)
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. (Essential)
• Support and backup accounting group, including willingness to perform other accounting staff functions including, but not limited to accounts receivable processing, accounts payable processing and filing. (Essential)
• Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative and practical ways by using skills and full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures. (Essential)
• Complies with EBARA safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training. (Essential)
• Maintains clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara safety policies. (Essential)

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE

• Two (2 ) to five (5) + years of financial accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and internal financial statement preparation, preferably within a multi-company or manufacturing environment
• Strong Excel and ERP system experience; SAP or ERP implementation experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of general policies. and procedures.
• Understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Working knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Strong relationship building skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal colleagues, vendors,, outside consultants and customers.
