    Description

    Title: Accountant I Job Summary: A highly motivated Accountant I is sought to support manufacturing operations within a rapidly expanding renewable energy environment. This role will play a critical part in financial reporting, cost accounting, and operational support, contributing to improved efficiency and accuracy across solar manufacturing operations.Responsibilities Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for manufacturing operationsPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statementsSupport cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis (labor, materials, and overhead)Partner closely with plant operations to analyze production performance and identify cost‑saving opportunitiesMonitor inventory transactions and cycle counts, ensuring accurate reporting of raw materials and finished goodsEnsure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policiesAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesSupport internal and external audits, including SOX compliance (if applicable)Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within accounting workflowsProvide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision‑makingPerform all other duties as assignedQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineMinimum of 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environmentDemonstrated knowledge of cost accounting and inventory managementExperience working with ERP systems; SAP experience preferredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysisStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standardsCPA or CMA designation preferredPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computerFrequent use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and operating office equipmentOccasional standing, walking, bending, and reachingAbility to lift and carry light office materials (up to 10–15 lbs.), such as files or office suppliesVisual acuity to read computer screens, documents, and reportsAbility to attend meetings and interact with employees, customers, and vendors#J-18808-Ljbffr
