JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, performs accounting support relative to assigned areas of responsibility. This position also performs accounting duties including general ledger reconciliations, receipt of cash funds, financial reporting, and record keeping. ACCOUNTANT I: EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field and at least two (2) years of accounting experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three (3) years of progressively responsible accounting experience. Governmental accounting experience is preferred but not required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
ACCOUNTANT II: EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field and at least three (3) years of progressively responsible accounting experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience. Governmental accounting experience is required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
