The Accountant I role supports the daily operations of the Accounting & Finance team by assisting with accounts payable and month-end close processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and helping ensure timely and accurate financial transactions. This role performs invoice processing, payment tracking, reconciliations, and other accounting support activities while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. The position also assists with month-end close activities and financial reporting support. This is a great opportunity to contribute to core accounting operations, while developing a strong understanding of financial processes, in a collaborative team environment.What You'll DoProcess and record vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, documentation, and approvalMaintain vendor records and assist with communications to resolve discrepancies or inquiriesSupport payment processing and maintain accurate accounts payable recordsAssistwith other expense management processes including credit card and employee expense reportingMonth‑End Close & Financial ReportingPerform month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedulesDownload and maintain financial transaction records from banks and payment processorsPerform bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations ; Investigate discrepancies and assist in resolving transaction issuesSupport revenue reconciliation and related reporting activitiesSupport preparation of financial reports and maintain organized accounting recordsCompile financial data and reports to support accounting analysis and decision-makingOtherSupport internal and external audit requests and maintain audit‑ready documentationHelp ensure accounting activities comply with internal policies and financial controlsHelp manage minimal accounts receivable documentation, reporting, and reconciliationMonitor shared accounting inbox and respond to internal inquiriesMaintain organized financial documentation and filing systemsProvide general support to the accounting team and assist with other duties and special projects as assignedWhat You BringAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance, or related field preferred1–3 years of accounting , AR/AP , or bookkeeping experience requiredExperience with accounts payable processes strongly preferredExperience working in an ERP system (NetSuite preferred)Additional Qualifications and SkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy !Excellent written and verbal communication skills , ability to adapt communication to a variety of recipients and situations (ex. getting invoice approval from Director level colleagues)Ability to ask questions to better understand tasks and propose process improvementsProficiency in Microsoft Exce l (including filtering, sorting, pivot tables, lookups)Solid understanding of basic accounting principlesStrong organizational skills , Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentComfortable working with financial systems and online payment platformsPosition Schedule / DetailsFull‑time Monday‑Friday , exempt positionPrimarily onsite in Longmont, CO, with the potential for hybrid schedule after trainingPhysical RequirementsAbility to use hands and fingers to operate office equipment (e.g., keyboard, mouse, phone)Visual acuity to read and produce printed and digital documentsOccasional lifting of up to 15-20 pounds (e.g., office supplies, sample materials, marketing displays)Ability to move about the office or attend meetings in various areas of the buildingClear verbal communication, in person and via phone or video conferencingAbility to safely navigate through a light industrial environment for collaboration with production teams (PPE not typically required )Occasional climbing, stooping, bending and overhead reachingPay Range55,000 - 70,000Benefits SummaryBENEFITS & PERKSFlexible PTOExcellent Health, dental, vision offered at reduced rates.
