Join a Growing Finance Team
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant II to join our finance team in Coppell, Texas. This role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in financial reporting, general accounting, and financial analysis within a dynamic logistics and supply chain environment.
The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, prepare financial reports, analyze financial data, and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Analyze revenues, expenses, financial commitments, and operating costs.
Prepare financial reports for management review.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing financial analysis and recommendations.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Assist with financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Support tax preparation and financial reporting requirements.
Monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial information and resolve accounting issues.
Assist with continuous process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
Perform additional accounting and finance duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
0–2 years of accounting or finance experience.
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Internship or professional experience in accounting or finance.
Experience working with ERP or accounting software.
Experience supporting financial reporting and reconciliations.
Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries is a plus.
