Are you ready to take your accounting career to new heights? We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and experienced Staff/Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in project accounting, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and Dynamic 365 to a rewarding role. You'll play a crucial part in maintaining our financial health and ensuring our operations run smoothly. This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience and and someone looking to develop in their career.
Responsibilities:
As a Staff or Senior Accountant, you will be expected to:
1. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
2. Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions, as well as resolving discrepancies.
3. Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
4. Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries.
5. Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
6. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
7. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions.
8. Contribute to the development and implementation of new systems and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting process.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in an accounting role.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
4. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Experience in preparing financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and reports required by regulatory agencies.
6. Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
9. CPA certification is highly desirable.
