Location: Portland, OR | Hybrid

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a collaborative finance team. This hybrid opportunity offers flexibility while providing broad exposure to general accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and depreciation to support monthly and year-end close.
Assist with financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and financial analysis.
Manage day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, invoicing, cash reconciliations, banking, and collections.
Support audits, internal controls, 1099 reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Analyze grant and contract activity, restricted funds, revenue accruals, and other financial data.
Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial reporting as needed.

Qualifications

2+ years of nonprofit accounting experience.
Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
