Accountant

Location: Johnson Creek, WI

Employment Type: 1st shift,

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close related to cost accounting
  • Prepare detailed financial and operational reports for management
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor variances
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Analyze and monitor production, labor, material, and overhead costs
  • Analyze purchase price variances (PPV) and investigate root causes
  • Prepare and maintain standard costs and conduct variance analysis
  • Identify cost trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for savings
  • Support internal and external audits as needed
  • Support development and tracking


Requirements:

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Ability to analyze and explain balance sheet and income statement activity
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate variances and identify root causes
  • Ability to clearly communicate accounting and financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration skills across accounting, operations, purchasing, and leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2-5 years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience preferred
