Staff Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting and finance team in Overland Park, KS. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations.

• Assist with year-end audit preparation and support.

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

• Provide additional accounting support to the team as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience.

• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
