Description:Accountant
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Employment Type: 1st shift, possible Hybrid

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with month-end and year-end close related to cost accounting
- Prepare detailed financial and operational reports for management
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor variances
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Analyze and monitor production, labor, material, and overhead costs
- Analyze purchase price variances (PPV) and investigate root causes
- Prepare and maintain standard costs and conduct variance analysis
- Identify cost trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for savings
- Support internal and external audits as needed
- Support development and tracking
Requirements:Skills Required
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Ability to analyze and explain balance sheet and income statement activity
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate variances and identify root causes
- Ability to clearly communicate accounting and financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Strong collaboration skills across accounting, operations, purchasing, and leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience preferred
Compensation details: 66000-85000 Yearly Salary
