Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Tax Management: Engage with customers early in the process to determine tax exemption status and collect necessary documentation.

Tax Compliance & Dispute Resolution: Apply multi-state tax regulations and manage customer disputes related to tax and billing.

Core Accounting Operations: Handle all accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, publishing financial statements, and conducting month-end/year-end close.

Tax Preparation & Reporting: Compute taxes, prepare returns, and generate financial reports such as balance sheets and profit/loss statements.

System & Data Management: Use SAP for accounting processes, maintain confidentiality, and ensure secure data backups.

Additional Duties:

Audit financial transactions and enforce accounting control procedures.

Stay current with financial policies, regulations, and legislation.

Summarize and analyze account information for internal reporting.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

45+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in cost accounting or a similar field

Multi-state sales and use tax knowledge, including exemption certificate handling

Strong Excel and communication skills

Thorough understanding of accounting principles and corporate finance procedures Experience with accounting software (proficiency expected)

CPA or CMA certification (preferred but not required)

Advanced degree in Accounting

High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality null
