This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to apply their expertise in account reconciliation, general ledger management, month-end close, journal entries, and more. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling both Accounts Payable and Receivable, and should be proficient in Excel, Paychex, and ADP. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.ResponsibilitiesManaging and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity, etc.Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements.Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.Coordinating and completing annual audits.Providing recommendations for improving systems and procedures and initiating corrective actions.Assigning projects and directing staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.Meeting financial accounting objectives.Ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.Supporting budget and forecasting activities.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.Proven experience in account reconciliation, general ledger management, month-end close, and journal entries.Proficiency in Excel, Paychex, and ADP.Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High attention to detail and accuracy.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact within a dynamic and evolving business.
