Accountant - Novi, MISalary: $80,000.00 to $85,000.00
Industry: Engineering Firm Company Employees: 40 Accounting Dept Employees: 5 Culture: very positive, collaborative, friendly environment Join our dynamic, collaborative finance team as an Accountant, reporting to the Controller. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain general ledger, monthly journal entries, and account reconciliations
AR (light collections... email follow-ups) and AP responsibilities
Run weekly payroll and payroll reconciliation
Assist with audits, tax filings, and financial reporting
Maintain customer and vendor data
Prepare month-end workpapers and support month-end close
Review financial statements to identify and resolve discrepancies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Accounting software (Sage100 preferred, but not required)
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
