Imprimis Group has partnered with a growing privately held family office in Plano to identify an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records across a diverse portfolio of companies while helping strengthen accounting processes as the organization continues to grow. What You'll Do:
As the Senior Accountant, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting functions across multiple entities and partner closely with leadership to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple business entities.
- Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Process and oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and collections.
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis.
- Monitor budget-to-actual performance and identify reporting variances.
- Support annual tax preparation, audits, and outside CPA relationships.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and supporting documentation.
- Review contracts, leases, and financing agreements for accounting implications.
- Administer QuickBooks Online and maintain organized financial records.
- Help improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and month-end processes.
- Provide guidance and support to an Accounting Assistant.
- Partner with the CFO on special projects and process improvements.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong General Ledger and month-end close experience.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or active CPA candidate.
- Family office or closely held business experience.
- Experience in real estate, construction, logistics, hospitality, or nonprofit accounting.
- Exposure to treasury or bill-pay platforms.
- Interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve accounting efficiency.
