Job Summary The Accountant has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, performing complex budget and accounting work. This position has considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. This is a full-time position that reports to LSCPAs Finance Department.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist with grant tracking, budget data entry, check voids, USAS batch processing, and other assigned accounting tasks.
  • Support the annual budget development process under the direction of the Executive Director.
  • Assist in the preparation of the biennial Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR) under the leadership of the Executive Director.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the Annual Financial Report, Legislative Appropriations Requests, and other required financial reports.
  • Assist with grant tracking, budget data entry, check voids, Uniform State Accounting System (USAS) batch processing, and other USAS transactions.
  • Reconcile local bank accounts and complete additional reconciliations as required.
  • Provide accounting support across all operational areas overseen by the Executive Director.
  • Ensure compliance with all campus policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Comply with campus policies and procedures.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • Certification of Public Accountancy (CPA).

Supplemental Information Work Hours: Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week.
