Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

- Perform daily general ledger and accounting activities.

- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial records.

- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

- Prepare financial statements, reports, and account analysis.

- Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

- Monitor invoices, payments, expenses, and supporting documentation.

- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.

- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Support audit and tax preparation activities.

- Ensure transactions comply with company accounting policies and GAAP.

- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and management regarding accounting issues.

- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.

Required Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

- 2+ years of accounting or related financial experience.

- Strong knowledge of General Ledger, Journal Entries, Reconciliations, AP/AR, and Month-End Close.

- Experience with Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis.

- Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting principles.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.

- Experience with financial reporting and variance analysis.

- CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.

- Experience supporting audits and tax activities.

- Remote accounting/finance experience.
