Description
The purpose of this job is to perform advanced and complex work in the preparation and maintenance of fiscal records; to prepare and analyze bank reconciliations for all county cash accounts; to perform a variety of other accounting and clerical tasks as assigned; and to prepare spreadsheets and work papers for auditors. This class performs technical accounting, financial recording and analysis duties.
This position works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but employees must be available during the "core" work hours are 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Must work 40 hour each week to maintain full-time status.

Do you have experience with a state or local government financial management system and familiarity with governmental fund accounting and fiscal year-end reporting cycles?

Do you possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or bookkeeping with emphasis in bookkeeping, accounting, or a closely related field?

Do you have at least four (4) years of experience in accounting related function?

Do you possess and able to maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.

Do you have familiarity with federal grant accounting requirements (2 CFR Part 200) or public-sector compliance reporting?

Please describe your experience using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Teams, or other financial/accounting software.

Do you have CPA, CGFO, CPFO, or a relevant technology certification (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), or active pursuit of the same?

Please briefly describe your accounting, bookkeeping, financial, or office support experience, including any experience with grants, project accounting, reconciliations, spreadsheets, journal entries, customer service, or handling detailed records.

Describe your experience handling drawer counting; balances count; and preparing deposit for courier at the end of the day, or similar cash handling activities.
