Our well-established client in the greater Schenectady, NY area is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with a strong foundation in GAAP and a background in accounting across multiple entities.
Responsibilities of the Accountant will include:
- Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements across multiple business entities
- Develop and analyze monthly cash flow projections
- Collaborate with managers to assess and communicate operating forecasts and results
- Assist with the planning, preparation, and review of annual operating budgets
- Support various special projects as assigned by management
Qualifications of the Accountant:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required)
- Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Previous experience working in a CPA firm is a plus
- Familiarity with leasing, property management, or real estate industry preferred
- Experience with Yardi is highly desirable
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting-related business systems
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $55,000 - $75,000.
