What will I be doing?

 

1. Preparing complex business and individual tax returns, involving tax compliance, multi-state and international tax structure issues.
2. Reviewing business and individual returns.
3. Helping clients to balance compliance details and long-term tax strategy.
4. Supervising less experienced tax team members, including coaching and mentoring for career success.
5. Tax planning and research.
6. Preparing tax provision following FAS 109.
7. Identifying accounting, business and tax issues/opportunities and developing solutions/recommendations.
8. Clearly communicating recommendations verbally and in writing that aligns the tax function with business objectives.
9. Building client relationships and trust.
10. What skills and knowledge should I have?
11. 5+ years of experience in accounting, 2 years in public accounting.
12. Self-starter and successful with minimal supervision.
13. Solid understanding of basic tax and accounting theory and practice.
14. Highly motivated, exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
15. Ability to work in a fast pace, handle multiple client engagements, multi-task and meet deadlines.
16. Solid technology skills, including all Office applications; QuickBooks and other accounting system expertise.
17. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication (both verbal and written), including the ability to simplify and communicate complex business information.
18. CPA license.
19. Bilingual skills a plus.
20. International tax expertise a plus.
