Accountant

MyStaff is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Sioux Falls to hire an experienced Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day, wants to be part of a stable, locally owned company, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats in a manufacturing environment.We're looking for an accounting professional who has a strong foundation in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (or is willing to be cross-trained), thrives in a fast-paced setting, and has hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop —this is a firm requirement.What You'll Do Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and general ledger maintenanceProcess Accounts Payable and assist with Accounts ReceivablePrepare financial records in accordance with GAAPProcess vendor payments and reconcile accounting transactionsAssist with purchase orders, invoicing, and purchasing activitiesPrepare international shipping documentationResearch and resolve accounting discrepanciesSupport month-end accounting processesAssist with general office administrative duties as neededWhat We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting requiredQuickBooks Desktop experience required (no exceptions)Experience with both AP and AR, or willingness to be cross-trained5+ years of accounting experience preferredManufacturing accounting experience strongly preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsComfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented officeProficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel$25-$35/hour, depending on experience401(k) with company matchCompany-paid Life and Long-Term Disability InsuranceShort-Term DisabilityPaid Time Off and HolidaysSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime may be required based on business needs.If you're looking for a stable opportunity with a growing manufacturer where your accounting experience will make an immediate impact, we'd love to hear from you.
