A well-established local vineyard and winery is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team. This role supports the day-to-day accounting functions and requires experience with full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close. We're looking for a detail-oriented, adaptable professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable, including vendor payments, reconciliations, loan tracking, CIP activity, and maintaining vendor records.
  • Oversee accounts receivable by preparing invoices, applying payments, monitoring aging reports, reconciling customer accounts, and following up on outstanding balances.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and special accounting projects.
  • Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Famous, AgCode, or similar systems preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing winery with a supportive team and make a meaningful impact on the organization's financial operations.
