Accountant

You will help build and maintain the financial infrastructure that supports the most innovative forensic technology company in the world. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for core accounting functions while also supporting process automation, financial analysis, reporting, and operational improvements across the organization.

This is not a traditional accounting role. The ideal candidate is highly technical, exceptionally organized, and comfortable working with large datasets and complex spreadsheets. You should enjoy building systems, improving workflows, and using technology to make processes more efficient. This company operates in a Mac environment, candidates should have experience working within the Apple ecosystem and quickly learning new software tools.

What You Get to Do

• Own day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes

• Maintain and improve financial models, reports, and operational dashboards using advanced spreadsheet techniques

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial records while identifying and resolving discrepancies
• 
  
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management, and cash flow tracking
• 
  
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial analyses for management
• 
  
• Develop and maintain spreadsheet-based tools that improve visibility into company performance and financial operations
• 
  
• Assist with audits, tax filings, compliance requirements, and external reporting requests
• 
  
• Document and improve accounting workflows, controls, and business processes as the company scales
• 
  
• Learn and administer financial systems, software platforms, and integrations used across the organization
• 
  
• Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as business needs evolve
