We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support Danone NORAM month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, internal controls, and stakeholder reporting. This role partners closely with business stakeholders across corporate offices and stakeholders, the Service Delivery Center in Mexico, and consolidation teams to deliver accurate, timely financial support and drive continuous improvement across accounting processes. This role can be based out of White Plains, NY or Louisville, CO!

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting core operations accounting activities, strengthening controls, and providing analyses that enable informed business decisions.

• Conduct month-end close functions including the development of month-end journal entries; reconciling and reviewing related balance sheet accounts; month-end analysis and variance explanations; ensuring proper cut-off and reconciling variances; communicating significant or unusual business matters.
• Lead the accounting, analysis, and month-end close activities trade & marketing accounting for two Medical Nutrition companies and marketing for Danone Canada. Support as needed for trade & marketing accounting on Danone US.
• Reporting and analysis for monthly trade review and including but not limited to semi-monthly consolidation presentations and semi-annual balance sheet reviews.
• Assist with implementation of trade promotion management software (One Trade) for Medical Nutrition companies.
• Review and reconcile boundary systems (One Trade, High Radius) to SAP for month end close and business presentations.
• Provide finance and accounting support for operational projects and system implementations, including process design, SAP/FICO testing, issue resolution, go-live support, and preparation of sustainable handoff documentation.
• Provide guidance as needed on geography for P&L and balance sheet transactions in accordance with the Danone Accounting Manual based on IFRS principles.
• Provide accounting support to a variety of North American business stakeholders (including but not limited to Invoice to Cash, Tax, Sales Finance & Planning, FP&A) in the corporate offices.
• Develop and implement processes that support continuous improvement and strong business results, including updating and refreshing current ways of working and calculation methods employed.
• Provide complete, accurate and timely financial support to management, including developing and reporting of key performance measures.
• Support and prepare various analyses for internal control, internal audit, tax, and external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies. Foster a culture that encourages the highest level of integrity and ethical behavior.
• Other duties as assigned.

The salary range for this position is $70k-85k USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions. This role is considered a "hybrid" position that allows for flexible work, meaning it is a role where collaboration with key stakeholders in Danone Hubs occurs. While you may have the option to work from home on a schedule as agreed to with your supervisor, you are also expected to regularly report to your assigned office location at least 3 days per week.
