Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting or in business administration with courses in accounting. (Note: At least 12 semester credits in accounting or auditing courses is needed, six of which must be above the beginning or elementary course level from an accredited four-year college or university).
Substitution: Work experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelors degree in accounting or business administration with courses in accounting.
The education requirement must be met at the time of application. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at an accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, proper documentation, e.g., a foreign credential evaluation (FCE), must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience in professional accounting, including or supplemented by work experience demonstrating aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties.
Supervisory aptitude or potential may be demonstrated through:
Successful completion of regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects;
Serving as a group or team leader, or in similar work in which opportunities for demonstrating supervisory capabilities exist;
Completion of training courses in supervision accompanied by application of supervisory skills in work assignments; OR
Favorable appraisals by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential.
Substitution: A Masters degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university will substitute for one of the required four years of professional accounting experience.

Professional experience refers to work that generally involves independent critical thinking, solving complex, non-routine problems, preparing reports, and interpreting and applying technical information.
Most work experience as an intern will NOT be creditable as equivalent to professional experience.
Calculation of experience will be based upon a full-time, 40-hour work week. Part-time experience will be pro-rated. Hours worked in excess of 40 hours/week will not be extra credited.
Example: Twelve months of experience at 20 hours/week will be pro-rated to six months of experience.
Example: Twelve months of experience at 60 hours/week will be credited as one year of experience, NOT one and a half years.
