We are hiring an Accounting Administrative Assistant for our client in Independence! You will be responsible for supporting accounting and administrative functions, including managing accounts payable/receivable, client billing, and expense tracking with accuracy and efficiency.

- Hybrid after 60 days – 3 days a week in office

Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
- Support client billing operations, including preparing and reviewing invoices
- Communicate professionally with clients to address billing and account-related matters
- Assist in monitoring client trust accounts while maintaining strict confidentiality standards
- Track and manage firm expenses and outstanding payables
- Maintain and update proprietary spreadsheets for financial tracking and reporting
- Organize and manage financial records, ensuring proper documentation and accessibility
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders
- Assist with employee expense reimbursements and ensure proper documentation
- Ensure adherence to firm policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Perform additional administrative and accounting duties as needed
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionally
