About the Employer

We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. Antioch is known as the "Gateway to the Delta" and is one of California's oldest cities, with a diverse community of approximately 100,000. BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director, Fiscal Services or its designee, perform a variety of professional accounting and budgetary work involved in the monitoring, development, analysis, analysis, maintenance, auditing, adjustment and reconciliation of various accounts, funds and budgets; prepare and audit a variety of financial, statistical and budgetary reports and statements.

UNIT: AMA HOURS/WORK YEAR: 8 Hours Day / 12 Months MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $6,927 (Min- Step 1) to $8,867 (Max.- Step 6) APPLICATION DEADLINE THURSDAY, JULY 30, 2026 at 4:30 PM. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and two years' professional accounting experience performing varied financial analysis, auditing, record-keeping and report preparation duties. SELECTION & EXAMINATIONS: The selection process will consist of a competitive application packet screening for completeness, qualifications, and experience. Ann application evaluation (weighted 20% of your score) and oral panel interview examination (weighted 80% of your score) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on the oral panel interview examination. Final selection will be among those who achieve the top three ranking scores.
