We are seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst - OpEx to join our Chalmette-based team. This role focuses on operational expense (OpEx) accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate brings strong SAP experience and advanced Excel capabilities, with the ability to analyze actuals versus budget and identify variances across 23 company codes in a logistics-focused business environment. |
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries - Perform account reconciliations
- Run and analyze financial reports from SAP
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Assist with budgeting and budget season preparation
- Perform quarterly and annual reporting
- Analyze monthly actuals vs. budget; identify overages and shortfalls
- Investigate coding discrepancies and reallocations across company codes
- Provide audit support, including pulling and organizing documentation
- Consolidate and manipulate financial data for reporting purposes
Systems & Tools - SAP ECC (Primary requirement)
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, data manipulation, reporting)
- EPM (SAP budgeting add-on; experience preferred but not required)
- Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
- PowerPoint and Word (minimal use; Excel-heavy environment)
