We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, data analysis, and process improvements. This role helps ensure accurate financial records, supports servicing and government assistance programs, and contributes to a strong control environment.
Responsibilities
Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations.
Analyze financial data and resolve account discrepancies.
Prepare documentation and process accounting adjustments.
Research and resolve reconciliation exceptions.
Coordinate with external partners to obtain transaction documentation.
Process wire transfers related to servicing advances.
Track receivables, reimbursements, and government incentive payments.
Prepare reports and analyze servicing and portfolio performance.
Generate recurring and ad hoc reports for management.
Maintain process documentation and support cross-training.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3–5 years of accounting, financial analysis, or financial services experience.
Experience in an analyst or reporting role within financial services.
Mortgage servicing experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles.
Experience with mortgage servicing systems (e.g., MSP) is a plus.
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
