Accounting Analyst I

$54,000-$67,000 | Hybrid with in person reporting to Superior WI.

What You''ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting strongly preferred, but an equivalent degree with applicable accounting course work may be considered.
  • No experience required.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain productive working relationships.

What You''ll Do:

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
  • Prepare and maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal and external financial reports and filings.
  • Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering, organizing, and analyzing financial information.
  • Apply departmental policies and practices, assuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Participate in the documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Learn and utilize various software systems, including PowerPlant, Oracle, Maximo, Microsoft Office applications, etc.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
  • This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on Superior Water Light & Power's needs. A hybrid work arrangement means the employees position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee''s home office. This position will report to Superior, WI.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected annual compensation range for this position is $54,000 - $67,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
