Accounting Analyst

Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join its finance team. This role supports financial operations through a combination of transaction processing, account analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. The position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working across multiple areas of finance while developing expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and operational accounting.

Accounting Analyst Responsibilities:

• Support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Process customer billings and ensure accurate application of incoming payments
• Review outstanding customer balances and collaborate with internal stakeholders on resolution efforts
• Assist with monthly close activities, including journal entries and supporting schedules
• Analyze financial data and provide reporting that supports management decision-making
• Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting activities
• Maintain documentation supporting key accounting transactions and controls
• Assist with audit requests and compliance-related initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
• Partner with operations, customer service, and leadership teams to ensure financial accuracy

The Successful Applicant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Experience working with financial systems and ERP platforms is a plus
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and communicate findings effectively
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments is beneficial
