The Accounting Analyst is primarily responsible for processing and maintaining fixed assets, prepaid accounts, and is responsible for executing a variety of financial processes including month-end and year-end closing, general ledger reviews, variance analysis, account reconciliations, and assisting with quarterly regulatory reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for monthly fixed assets and prepaid accounting
Supports daily liquidity and funds management.
Prepare general ledger certifications (i.e. correspondent bank accounts, asset/liability general leger accounts and bank control accounts) and applicable schedules.
Assist in the month end close process and reporting, including variance analysis.
Assist in preparing the quarterly Call Report and supporting schedules
Supports preparation of various analytical reports and information
Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies
Research and resolve discrepancies timely
Collaborates with different departments to achieve the various deliverables on financial reporting.
Builds and maintains rapport with internal stakeholders and external agencies involved in the financial reporting process.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point
Minimum of intermediate experience in Excel

Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands or arms.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to focus and review large data sets regularly.
The employee is responsible for understanding and following the Bank's BSA/AML policies including elevating suspicious activity to the BSA Officer. Additionally, the employee is required to understand and follow the Bank's compliance program.
