Summary:

  • Work Mode: Onsite


Responsibilities:

  • Complete complex accounting analysis independently, applying accounting theory.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly estimated contractual adjustments, charity, and bad debt.
  • Prepare and file Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements.
  • Maintain annual budgets and prepare Federal/State and Local tax returns.
  • Report to the state COPN Regulatory Authority and perform cost analysis.
  • Interpret and communicate federal and state regulations, managing priorities and deadlines.
  • Assess the theoretical integrity of accounting functions and recommend improvements.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory and taxing agencies, external consultants, auditors, and company leadership.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance/Business with a concentration in Accounting (21 credits in Accounting required).
  • 1 year of accounting experience with analysis, budget, and financial statements.


Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Prior experience in healthcare accounting/finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including heavy use of pivot tables and advanced formulas.
