The Job:

This Accounting and Payroll Operations Specialist role offers a unique opportunity to be at the center of a company’s financial and people operations, directly supporting both day-to-day accounting integrity and employee experience. You will play a key role in keeping the organization running smoothly owning weekly payroll, supporting onboarding and offboarding, maintaining accurate records, and managing core AP/AR processes while ensuring compliance and operational accuracy. Working closely with the CFO, this position provides meaningful exposure to the full financial lifecycle, from vendor and contract management to reporting and ERP-driven accounting systems, making it an excellent fit for someone who thrives in a hands-on, high-impact environment. Ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving and process improvement, this role offers the chance to deepen technical accounting skills, expand HR/payroll expertise, and contribute to a stable, well-run organization that values precision, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll do

HR/Payroll:

  • Weekly payroll processing.
  • New Employee onboarding and exiting employees.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain I-9s and other employment documents.
  • Reporting: this includes everything from EDD claims, workers comp, VOE requests to all the other reports listed, whether the person takes them over completely or assists you.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Responsible for day to day A/R processing.
  • Entering new service contracts & maintaining current contracts for accuracy.
  • Taking calls and processing credit card payments via Business Central, EBIZ platform.
  • Able to read and interpret contracts

Accounts Payable:

  • Responsible for day to day A/P processing.
  • Entering new vendors
  • YE 1099s
  • Assist CFO in other duties as assigned.


Requirements


  • 4-7 years of relevant experience or an Accounting or Business Degree
  • Must have advanced experience with Excel
  • High school equivalency required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • ERP experience
