Education and Experience:
HS Diploma, accounting, or related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Three to five years of experience in a similar position or an accounting function
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Accounting Assistant - $22 - $25hr- Part time 20-30 hours per week.
Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with the daily accounting responsibility needs of the organization. This position reports to the Director of Finance and
Accounting and is expected to average 20-30 hours per week. The Accounting Assistant strives
to provide exemplary customer service to internal and external customers while maintaining the
highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Accounting Functions:
Inputting financial transactions into accounting software, maintaining accurate financial records and updating spreadsheets.
Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
Assisting with payroll preparation and journal entries
Maintaining general ledger records
Bank reconciliations
Budgeting support
Scanning, filing and organizing financial documents and other administrative tasks
