As an Accounting Assistant, you'll support essential accounting functions, focusing on accounts payable and receivable processes. During the busy season, you'll handle vendor invoices and payments, as well as collections. In June, you'll switch gears to manage accounts receivable activities, making this a well-rounded role with year-round challenges.
What You'll Do
As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Processing vendor invoices and verifying billing details to ensure accuracy.
- Handling payments to vendors and managing collections with clients.
- Recording journal entries accurately into the accounting system.
- Reconciling accounts receivable and payable statements regularly.
- Assisting with month-end and quarter-end closing tasks.
- Supporting other ad hoc accounting tasks as needed to keep the finance department running smoothly.
