Your responsibilities will include reporting and analysis of financial data, managing job closures, WIP reclassifications, preparing executive reports, handling essential accounting functions, and supporting administrative tasks—including special projects.Key Responsibilities:Reconcile credit card transactionsTrack payments and coordinate with the insurance division on disaster projectsMaintain the contracts database in Yardi and oversee job closures and WIP reclassificationsGenerate and deliver weekly reports to the executive management teamCoordinate payment releases with the Treasury team and other staffPrepare draw packets for funding requests across various propertiesAssist the Treasury team with check copy requestsHandle special ad hoc assignmentsManage an automated reporting bot (future initiative)Support the implementation of property management and IT contract systems (future initiatives)Explore and contribute to process improvementsServe as a backup for other Accounting Assistants and the Accounting Supervisor as neededQualifications:Associate degree in accounting preferred (or in progress)OR 3-5 years of real estate accounting experienceStrong understanding of accounting principles and conceptsExcellent mathematical and analytical skillsCustomer-service oriented with a focus on building and maintaining relationshipsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and self-motivate in a fast-paced environmentExceptional attention to detail, positive attitude, and eagerness to learnExperience with an accounting ERP system preferred (YARDI experience is a plus)Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders (property managers, vendors, tenants, etc.)Problem-solving mindset with a drive for continuous improvementTeam player with the ability to work independently when necessaryEnthusiastic “can-do” attitude with a passion for innovationCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salaryPaid training, holidays, and vacation timeCompany-sponsored 401(k) planComprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and life insurance#J-18808-Ljbffr
